There is a large, top opening freezer and a front opening refrigerator situated on the starboard side of the galley. Both these units are 12 volt, electrically operated and have separate thermostatic controls. The increments on the thermostat control range from zero to 7, this being the coldest. The cold plates are the same in the fridge and freezer so make sure to set each one accordingly. The main breakers for both units are mounted on the panel above the chart table, both should be switched on before use. As with all refrigerators they work best when full rather than half empty. It will take a few hours for your newly purchased provisions to freeze down when you first join the boat. Towards the end of your charter you will find it more efficient to pack your provisions into one unit and turn the other off at the breaker panel.
