The raised galley area is well appointed and spacious. It has a propane fueled, four burner stove with oven. There is an illuminated gas supply switch which must be turned on prior to use and turned off afterwards. To light a stove ring, press down the appropriate control knob, turn to the right and light the burner. Continue to press the control knob down for a further 10 to 15 seconds while the thermocouple heats up then release. The thermocouple is a safety device that shuts off the gas supply should the flame blow out.
To light the oven, open the door fully, press in the control knob and turn to ignite. Hold the control knob in for 10 to 15 seconds then release.
Always exercise extreme caution when using the cooking equipment on the boat. If you suspect a gas build up or leak of any kind, do not light any naked flames, shut off the gas supply at the cylinder, open the ventilation hatches and contact our base staff. |
